In certain proceedings of the Fort Stevens Lincoln Military Memorial Association, the names of the 61st killed July 12th, 1864, are reported as follows: Lieut. Wm. Laughlin, Co. B., Andrew Ashbaugh, Co. H., Philip Bowen and John Ellis, Co. A, Edward Garvin, Co. I, and H. McIntire, whose company has not been ascertained. -- History of the 61st Regiment by A.T.
